Lockdown

Here in Italy we are at day 22, actually longer for my family cause one of my kids, Vincent, got sick on the bday of my other boy, Aiden, who got a nice bday-vomit surprise from his little brother on his 7th bday and got his party cancelled. We never knew that since then we would have never looked outside our front door the same way. That was the 21st of February. Since then, we had a few outings just to get some fresh air, when that was still permitted, before the whole country locked down. It has been 5 weeks now. During the last 5 weeks the world as we knew it crumbled before our eyes. We are now scared to get in contact with other human beings. Going to the supermarket feels like a letal war mission. We feel fear, death and despair. Especially for those empaths out there, it feels like its coming in massive waves.
Do you feel the same?
How can we protect ourselves?
How can we make sure that our families are safe?
Simply by staying home. Seriously. Just stay home. Minimise your outings, don’t trust anyone who says “Is just a flu”. That’s what we have been told in my country for months. Look at the numbers today.
But we can still find a way to make the most of this time that we have just been given and realise that we really are all interconnected. That if I stay home I can make the difference, not just for me and for my family, but for all the doctors, nurses, chemists, supermarket employees, couriers, and all of those who are working very long hours to make sure everyone is looked after, everyone has medecines, food, water, health care supplies. Staying home makes the difference for all of those people who are now suffering, struggling to fight against a very contagious virus that can deliberately decide who wins and who loses.
Let’s help them win, step by step, day by day, and finally we will see a little light at the end of this tunnel.
